BioNivesh is an independent platform that connects researchers, founders and investors in Indian biotech and agri-biotech — and keeps a verified, dated record of the government schemes that support them. We are not a government body, and we're not trying to be. We built this because the gap between a good idea and the person who can fund or commercialise it is still too wide, and closing it helps everyone: researchers, founders, investors, and the ecosystem the government is itself trying to grow.

The Government of India's own BIO-NIVESH initiative — run by BIRAC under the Department of Biotechnology — is a genuinely valuable, recurring investor-innovator platform. It's also, by design, an occasional convening event. BioNivesh (this site) exists in the space between those editions: an always-on, independently run directory and introduction layer that sends people toward official schemes and events rather than around them.
